CAFES AND RESTAURANTS

 

Burgas offers a variety of cafes and restaurants, which differ according to their assortment, service and prices. In a middle-category restaurant you can order a lunch for 10-12 leva. Drinks are at a higher price than in the shops, which becomes even higher during the summer period. Restaurants offer mainly Bulgarian white and red wines with high quality and international reputation. Prices vary between 6 and 14 leva for a bottle of 700 ml. depending on the brand. In Bulgaria there is a great consumption of beer and therefore you can find all kinds of beer here, but in Burgas it is very often that you have a Burgas beer or Zagorka, or Kamenitsa. A beer in a restaurant may cost 1.50 or 3 leva. A cup of coffee costs 1-2 leva. In Bulgaria you can drink mainly espresso. A hamburger costs 2 – 3 leva. A pizza is about the same price. McDînalds restaurants, KFC è OMV are expensive for the Bulgarian customer.

 

The various catering establishments in the town of Burgas are able to satisfy the various tastes and needs of their visitors. Along with local cuisine you can also find Italian and Chinese food. There are numerous establishments offering seafood specialities. Most restaurants are open 11.00 – 24.00 daily. Cafes, cafeterias and fast food restaurants can generally be found everywhere around Burgas.

On average, your daily food expenses could vary, depending on your personal choice, from 10.00 to 30.00 leva (5 to 15 euro).

 

In the city discos and clubs you are charged an entrance fee, which varies from 2 to 10 leva. Prices of the Bulgarian alcohol drinks are between 3 and 6 leva, and of the foreign ones – between 5 and 12 leva. The smallest quantity you may have is 50 ml.
