FACILITIES AT BFU

New university campus

Burgas Free University moved to a new building in the beginning of the academic year 2004/2005. The new university campus is located in the city centre on an area of 22 000 m². There are a total of 43 lecture halls, 3 language laboratories, 24 specialised laboratories, 8 computer classes, 6 specialised studies. A big multifunctional conference centre is envisaged with an aula with 400 seats, a hall with 250 seats for audio-visual sound recording and simultaneous translations, and 2 conference halls with 60 seats each. The centre will be used for study purposes, as well as for conducting conferences, congresses, seminars, performances, spectacles, etc.

Library

The university library occupies an area of 1500 m2 on 2 floors, with several computerized reading rooms with full access to the Internet, and book stores of around 120 000 volumes.

Computers

BFU has 8 fully equipped computer rooms for different classes, some of which provide open access for students outside the computer-class hours.

Internet

There is a non-stop access to Internet in all the computer halls and offices.

Photocopy

Students at BFU can make photocopies for a small fee (no cards available) at different photocopiers situated at BFU building or outside it.

Service

A big service centre is designed for the free time of the students and their entertainment. It includes a big atrium, a sports and medical centre with a fitness hall and sauna, 3 cafes, 1 night culb, book shops, copy centres, bank service spots, parking lots.

BFU building is equipped to meet the requirements of students with special needs.
