The Bachelor’s degree programme in "Business Management and International Economics" reflects the innovations in business and modern education. Students receive fundamental and broad-based training in the field of Еconomics and Мanagement, as well as specialized training in Business management, Entrepreneurship and International Economics. They also study elective courses, through which they build additional competencies depending on their interests. Foreign language training and the acquisition of business competencies related to Marketing, Finance, Business planning and working under international projects are widely accepted. Students learn about starting and growing businesses and adopt internationalization opportunities. The educational process is organized in accordance with the state requirements and is coordinated with leading Bulgarian and foreign universities.
An option exists for interested students to acquire a professional qualification ‘Teacher in Entrepreneurship’. Students can enrol in a qualification course during their studies or after completion. Additionally, courses for Insurance brokers in accordance with the Insurance Code are offered.
Practical Training and Internship:
Students have specialized practice as an element of the curriculum as well as the opportunity for traineeship abroad within the Erasmus+ programme.
The European programme Erasmus+ provides opportunities for the students to receive a grant and study abroad at the partner universities of BFU in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, etc. Students from the Faculty of Business Studies participate in various international projects and programmes.
Graduates have opportunities for wide and successful realization. They can work as managers at different levels of company management; specialists in the management hierarchy of companies; specialists, consultants and management experts in the private sector and in state and local administration; foreign trade and tourism specialists; experts and managers in foreign or outsourcing companies. Bachelors in the degree program receive the necessary training to start and develop their own business. They can pursue a Master's degree at BFU or other universities in the country and abroad.
Admission of Bulgarian students is based on their matriculation exam grades or entrance exam grades.
Admission of international students is based on their secondary education diploma allowing them access to higher education in their country of origin.
