Programme Profile:
In the Bachelor’s degree programme in International Economic Relations the educational process is organized in modules. The first module consists of courses which provide fundamental and wide-range seminars in economics and management. The second module builds up knowledge and practical skills for work and business in the globalizing economy. It focuses on external economic operations, international transactions and operations, international currency-financial relations, international marketing, international standards in business management, functioning of transnational and multinational corporations and international economic units, as well as on the management of international projects. The third module includes optional training courses which give the students the opportunity to build up additional competence in compliance with their interests and professional applicability.
Practical Training and Internship:
Students have specialized practice as an element of the curriculum as well as the opportunity for practical training abroad within the programme Erasmus+.
Student Mobility:
The European programme Erasmus+ provides opportunities to the students to receive a grant and study abroad at the partner universities of BFU in the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland. Students from the Faculty of Business Studies participate in various international projects and programmes.
Career Opportunities:
The graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations acquire professional qualification knowledge and skills in the field and are employable in the structures of export and import orientated companies and international corporations, tourism and services firms, trade departments of firms as well as in public institutions related to external economic operations.
Admission:
Admission of Bulgarian students is based on their matriculation exam grades or entrance exam grades.
Admission of international students is based on their secondary education diploma allowing them access to higher education in their country of origin.
