Programme Profile:
The bachelor's degree program in "Marketing and Digital Communications" prepares qualified marketing specialists with knowledge, skills and competencies for planning and conducting the marketing activities of organizations in the private and public sectors. The program reflects the current trends in digital marketing and the ever-expanding use of digital tools for marketing purposes. During their studies, students will build foundational knowledge in economics and management, as well as specialized knowledge and skills in integrated marketing communications, marketing mix policies, marketing research, social media marketing, search engine marketing, consumer behaviour, sales management, e-commerce, and brand management. The curriculum also reflects similar programs at leading universities in Bulgaria and abroad.
Additional qualification:
An option exists for interested students to acquire a professional qualification ‘Teacher in economic courses’ or ‘Teacher in Technology and Entrepreneurship’. Students can enrol in a qualification course during their studies or after completion. Additionally, courses for Insurance brokers in accordance with the Insurance Code are offered.
Practical Training and Internship:
Students have specialized practice as an element of the curriculum as well as the opportunity for traineeship abroad within the Erasmus+ programme.
Student Mobility:
The European programme Erasmus+ provides opportunities for the students to receive a grant and study abroad at the partner universities of BFU in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, etc. Students from the Faculty of Business Studies participate in various international projects and programmes.
Career Opportunities:
Graduates with a bachelor's degree in "Marketing and Digital Communications" possess qualifications for successful careers as marketing specialists and managers in broad career areas of marketing and digital marketing, sales, advertising, PR and customer service. Students can choose a number of career options in organizations such as marketing agencies, digital marketing agencies, marketing research agencies, advertising agencies, PR agencies, consulting firms, financial institutions, state and municipal institutions or not-for-profit organizations. Upon the successful completion of the program, the students may choose to start their businesses. The graduates are well prepared to pursue a Master's degree.
Admission:
Admission of Bulgarian students is based on their matriculation exam grades or entrance exam grades.
Admission of international students is based on their secondary education diploma allowing them access to higher education in their country of origin.
