Programme Profile:
The students of the Bachelor programme in Electric Energy Distribution and Electrical Equipment receive fundamental knowledge in the field of electrotechnics, energetics, electrical machines and apparatuses, electronic convertors and controllers, electro driving, communications and specialized computer networks, programming and information management complexes in energetics. The graduates can carry out designer activities, exploit and maintain facilities in energetics, manage companies for production, research and exploitation of energy systems and RES ones.
Practical Training and Internship:
Provided is a specialized practice, which is a part of the curriculum. Students are given the opportunity to be trained abroad within the Erasmus+ programme. Practical trainings are held in energy facilities. Provided are practical courses of safety management and exploitation of different kinds of energy facilities.
Student Mobility:
The European programme Erasmus+ provides opportunities to the students to receive a grant and study abroad at our partner universities in the UK, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Greece and Turkey.
Career Opportunities:
The graduates of the Bachelor Programme in Electric Energy Distribution and Electrical Equipment can work in organizations and companies for development and research of the production, introduction, exploitation and engineering of energy systems. Such specialists are needed in complexes for yielding energy (including out of RES), in power distribution companies and energy carrier systems. They are fully prepared for the operational management of the energy departments of manufacturing, transport companies, etc.
They can get qualifications of a designer, certifier of buildings and industrial systems for energy efficiency, electrician of shipping and transport systems, etc.
Admission:
Admission of Bulgarian students is based on their matriculation exam grades or entrance exam grades.
Admission of international students is based on their secondary education diploma allowing them access to higher education in their country of origin.
