Programme Profile:
The students of Software Engineering receive fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge of design, introduction and support of software systems; practical experience of developing and using information and communication technologies and systems for complex software solutions. Studies include: Object-Oriented Programming, Visual Programming, Network Programming, Programming in Java, Web programming, Analysis and Design of Databases, Software Visualization and Validation, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, 3D Modelling and Animation, Design of User Interface, E-Trade, Information Security, etc.
Practical Training and Internship:
Provided is a specialized practice, which is a part of the curriculum, as well as practical training in IT companies. The students are given the opportunity to be trained abroad within the Erasmus+ programme, take part in the clubs of Programming, Robotics, etc. Courses providing the opportunity for system administrators to obtain international certification are held within the CISCO academy at the Faculty.
Student Mobility:
The European programme Erasmus+ provides opportunities to the students to receive a grant and study abroad at our partner universities in the UK, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Greece and Turkey.
Career Opportunities:
The Bachelors of Software Engineering can take any position in organizations developing software systems as well as in business organizations or the public administration as analysts, designers, developers, testers, responsible for the quality control, team managers, experts, consultants, etc. Other possible realization for them is the research work or teaching in the field of software engineering.
Admission:
Admission of Bulgarian students is based on their matriculation exam grades or entrance exam grades.
Admission of international students is based on their secondary education diploma allowing them access to higher education in their country of origin.
