Programme Profile:
The Bachelor programme in Public Relations includes subjects, providing training in the following spheres: social sciences, psychology, management, marketing and advertising, as well as learning a foreign language. Emphasis is put on the communicative competence of the leading experts and on their ability to attract media for the purposes of the organization, to manage efficiently social, economic and political situations and conflicts through the instruments of PR and to carry out image-building campaigns. The university provides a training PR agency to help students’ practice. Internship in real media environment is also provided.

Practical Training and Internship:
Internship aims at providing students with opportunities to acquire particular practical skills which are necessary for their future job, as well as to learn about the nature of the current social processes and the role of the PR expert in them. During the internship, depending on the activities and the way they are organized in the respective department, students can be assigned current tasks and duties according to the needs of the receiving organization. During their studies students can practise in the training PR agency Practa, where they plan and realize various projects of particular importance to BFU and the city of Burgas. Students can also practise abroad within the Erasmus+ Programme.

Student Mobility:
The European programme Erasmus+ provides opportunities to the students to receive a grant and study abroad at BFU partner universities in the UK, Portugal, Poland, etc.

Career Opportunities:
Graduates of the Bachelor Programme in Public Relations can work as PR experts in agencies, departments and special units of the state administration, private business, science, education, culture, mass media, banking, insurance, the army, the police, healthcare, advertising and PR agencies, political parties, civil movements and organizations.

Admission:
Admission of Bulgarian students is based on their matriculation exam grades or entrance exam grades.
Admission of international students is based on their secondary education diploma allowing them access to higher education in their country of origin.
