The Accounting and Research Institute (ARI) at the largest university in Southeast Asia - MARA (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) - in partnership with Burgas Free University, is organizing the 7th edition of the International Conference on Governance and Strategic Management (ICGSM). Following previous editions of the conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Manchester, Seoul, and Oxford, Burgas Free University (BFU) has once again been honored with selection as the host institution, marking the 35th anniversary of its establishment.
The conference is incorporated in the last days of the “Erasmus+ International Teaching and Training Week” at BFU – June 8-13, 2026 and its participants may join referring https://www.bfu.bg/en/mezhdunarodna-deynost/erasmus/

You can register for the Conference only electronically through the Registration form available at the Conference link visible on the web page of Burgas Free University HERE! . The abstracts (for participation with a paper) in Bulgarian and English and the papers, which will be in one of the selected languages (except the two sections in which the participation and papers will be in English only), should be sent to conf@bfu.bg
The confirmation for the acceptance of your abstract will be sent within 3 days after registration and submission of the abstract (for participation with a paper), to the e-mail address indicated by you.
The volume of the abstracts should be between 200 to 500 words (1page) and they have to meet the technical requirements for the papers, indicated below (except for the volume).
All the papers and the cases presenting projects of companies/organisations will be published in the Conference proceedings and sent to the participants, after the conference.
Technical Requirements for the papers:
- The full text of the papers should not exceed 3 000 words in length (max. 8 pages), including tables and diagrams.
- The text part of the papers to be prepared for printing in WinWord or AdobePageMaker, with a single line space.The font to be used is “Times New Roman”, with a size of the symbols of 10 pt., Normal. Schemes and tables to be formated cdr or esp /text format/. The maximum printing field for schemes and tables – width 122 mm, length 178 mm.
- The papers should be structured as follows: Title – in capital letters, 12pt. (Center, Bold), empty line space, author’s’ names (Center, Bold), 10pt, empty line space *; Title in English - in capital letters, 12pt. (Center, Bold), empty line space, author’s’ names (Center, Bold), 10pt, empty line space *; Annotation – up to 8 lines and key words (Italic), 2 empty lines space *; Annotation in English – up to 8 lines and key words (Italic), 2 empty lines space *; Main body text of the paper – to include an introduction, main part, with results, assumptions, referred literature; the figures and the tables to be incorporated in the main body text; data about the author – three names, academic position and degree, organisation, a telephone and an e-mail address, all in the “For Contacts” section
Participation fees:
The participation fee is EUR 118, to be transferred to the bank account of BFU: IBAN: BG53BUIN78551480025826; BIC: BUINBGSF, Allianz Bank Bulgaria, BSU, reason: participation at the conference; with the names of the participant, and the institution. The invoices will be delivered on the registration day of the Conference or if requested in advance - up to 2 days after the request.
The conference fee includes the conference package, coffee breaks, conference dinner and a copy of the conference proceedings.
BFU offers the following discounts:
- For the fees paid in the early registration (transferred until April 30, 2026) – 20% discount of the fees;
- For the regular fees paid (until May 29, 2026), for participation (at the venue) of an additional co-author of the same paper –an extra 20% discount per each additional co-author over the regular fee;
- For the regular fees paid (until May 29, 2026), for including an additional paper of the participant –an extra 20% discount per each additional paper over the regular fee.
The 7th International Conference on Governance and Strategic Management (ICGSM) “Digital Twins for a Circular Future” is co-funded by the Bulgarian National Science Fund (BNSF), contract № КП-06-МНФ/12.
