International Scientific Conference "Multidisciplinary Innovations for Social Change: Educational Transformations and Entrepreneurship"

The Burgas Free University is launching a new International Scientific Conference "Multidisciplinary Innovations for Social Change" and on June 7-8, 2024, will host the first edition entitled "Educational Transformations and Entrepreneurship".

The topic of the new series of conferences is set by the COST Action "Multidisciplinary Innovation for Social Change" held in the period October 2019 - April 2024 and is a continuation of the achievements of over 100 researchers from 35 countries in this direction. At its core is the quadrangle of collaboration between different fields of knowledge, including higher education, secondary education and training, research and business, leading to the creation of new products, services and practices with a positive impact on society.

Thematic directions:

• Multidisciplinary innovations and investments for circular economy and sustainable development (in English only)
• Digital divide and social inequalities: levels, actors and interactions
• Challenges to infrastructural and regional development for social change (in English only)
• Tourism development and marketing solutions in the context of social innovation and entrepreneurship
• Multidisciplinary innovations in psychology, social work and pedagogy
• Educational transformations and entrepreneurship through collaboration and knowledge exchange
• Critical thinking and the era of the information society (only in English)
• Investments in human resources and social economy
• Legal and administrative aspects of social change
• Technical and transport solutions related to multidisciplinary innovation for social change
• Information technology use of artificial intelligence for social innovation

Working languages: Bulgarian and English

During the conference, the work and results of projects under the "Scientific Research" Fund "Attitudes of Bulgarian entrepreneurs and managers towards the continuing professional training of human resources in the organization" headed by Prof. Dr. Maria Neicheva and "Digital divide and social inequalities: levels, actors and interactions", headed by the director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the BAS - Prof. Ph.D. Rumyana Stoilova.

BSU's partners from Greece, Estonia, Malaysia, Portugal, the Republic of South Africa, Poland, the Netherlands, Colombia, Great Britain, Slovakia, Germany, Montenegro, Hungary, Croatia, etc. will take special part in the conference.

The tradition continues - corporate participation!

The promotion of corporate participation follows the tradition of full participation of representatives of business, administration and public organizations in previous BSU conferences. This year, at the place and time of the Conference, people with different interests from all over Europe and from different institutions will meet, which makes it a platform for sharing good practices and contacts.

What does corporate participation involve?

• Placing the logo of the company/organization on all printed and electronic materials preceding, during and as editions of the Conference;
• Right to full participation of up to 3 representatives of the company/organization;
• Presentation in the selected session and publication in the collection of abstracts during the Conference itself and in the collection of reports and case studies after its conclusion of 1 case study for an implemented or planned project or for the activity of the company/organization as a whole.

If you are an exclusive corporate participant:

• You are only one - unlike corporate participants, which are unlimited in number, the exclusive corporate participant will be only one, its logo will be placed on a separate line with the entry "exclusive corporate participant", on all printed and electronic materials preceding, by time and as publications from the Conference;
• Right to full participation of up to 5 representatives of the company/organization;
• Presentation in one of the sessions and publication in the collection of abstracts during the Conference itself and in the collection of reports after its conclusion of up to 3 case studies for realized or planned projects or for the activity of the company/organization as a whole.

Important deadlines:

• Registration for participation and annotation (if participating with a report or case study) – May 20, 2024.
• Payment of fee (for early registration) – April 5, 2024.
• Fee payment – May 22, 2024.
• Submission of the report in publication form – May 31, 2024.

Registration and reporting requirements:

Registration is done only through the registration form at https://e-services.bfu.bg/conferences/register.english.php?id=15. When participating with a report, entering an annotation in English is a mandatory requirement for successful registration.

Abstracts should be 50 to 100 words long.

You will receive confirmation of admission to participation within one week after registration, to the e-mail address you specified in the registration form.

All papers should be submitted in Word format, Times New Roman (10 point) single-spaced and not exceed 8 pages (5,000 words). The first page lists the author(s), the institution and the e-mail address.

Reports and questions related to the Conference should be sent to conf@bfu.bg.

The reports will be printed in a compendium and sent to the participants after the end of the Conference.

The conference will be preceded by a number of side events.

Invoices will be issued on the day of registration or upon request up to 2 days after receipt.
