Burgas Free University is organising the International Scientific Conference ‘The Black Sea – Doors and Bridges“. Four years ago, Burgas was nominated as the European Maritime Capital of 2018 and BFU hosted the annual high-level forum of the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission - the European Maritime Day.
In the period 7-10 June 2022 Burgas Free University will host the General Assembly of the most comprehensive, large-scale EU project for research and innovation in the Black Sea region, funded under the Horizon 2020 programme – “Developing Optimal and Open Research Support for the Black Sea (DOORS)“. Right after the official forum and as a fist side event, Burgas Free University (BFU) is honoured to launch the International Scientific Conference ‘The Black Sea – Doors and Bridges“. It will be held on June 10 and 11, 2022 and in its focus will be the economic, regulatory, technological and societal aspects of the development of the maritime and the water spaces.
Keynote Speaker – Dr. Adrian Stănică, Coordinator of the comprehensive project “Developing Optimal and Open Research Support for the Black Sea (DOORS)”.

- Early bird conference fee transfer deadline – May 10, 2022
- Conference fee transfer deadline – May 25, 2022
- Submission of full paper or case deadline – June 05, 2022
Registration:
Registration for the Conference can be done only electronically through the registration form available at the Conference link visible on the web page of Burgas Free University HERE! . The Submission of an abstract in English (for participating with paper or a case) is obligatory to complete the registration. Abstracts shall not exceed 50-100 words. The confirmation for registration will be sent within 1 week after registration to the e-mail address indicated by the participant.
All papers submitted should be typed in Times New Roman (10 point) with single-spacing and should not exceed 8 pages (5 000 words) MS Word documents. The author(s), institution and email of the author(s) should be clearly stated on the first page. The submission of papers (cases) to be published and all inquiries are to be sent to conf@bfu.bg only. All the papers and cases will be published in the Conference proceedings and sent to the addresses indicated after the end of the conference.
Before the Conference, round tables and workshops on the use of the EU funds in the present Programme period will be held and the General Assembly of the most comprehensive, large-scale project under Horizon 2020 - “DOORS” will take place.

- For the early bird conference fee transfer (transferred until May 10, 2022) – 20% discount of the fees;
- For the regular fees paid (until May 25, 2022), for additional co-author of the same paper –an extra 20% discount per each additional co-author over the regular fee;
- For the regular fees paid (until May 25, 2022), for including an additional paper of the participant –an extra 20% discount per each additional paper over the regular fee.
