Blended Intensive Program: CODE@BURGAS 2025
The International Office of Burgas Free University is pleased to invite you to be our partner university in the Blended Intensive Programme CODE@BURGAS 2025, organised and hosted by the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering of Burgaski Svoboden Universitet (Burgas Free University), Burgas, Bulgaria in the period 15-19 May 2025.

The Blended Intensive Programme is intended for students ( from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle) from the following fields of education (ISCED) –0610 Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) ; 0611 Computer use; 0710 Engineering and engineering trades; 0714 Electronics and automation.
Number of students per partner HEI – 3-5 ( in case there are more interested students, please let us know and we will check the availability).
The topic of this ERASMUS+ Blended intensive programme is ‘COMPETITIVE PROGRAMMING TRAINING USING PLATFORM FOR AUTOMATIC EVALUATION OF SOLUTIONS TO COMPETITIVE PROGRAMMING TASKS”. Programming skills are among the most important expertise in the IT companies.
The proposed BIP aims at developing algorithmic thinking in solving real-world problems by focusing on the following main aspects:
- Algorithms;
- Computer Programming;
- Competitive Programming;
- Programming Online Judge;
In addition, it will foster soft skills like team and collaborative work, creativity, innovation, and the ability to perform under stress.
ECTS awarded: 3 credits
The face-to-face part of the BIP will take place at Burgas Free University in the period 15 – 19.05.2025. The daily workload is 8 hours, combining the theoretical part with workshops and cultural activities. We are planning a variety of activities:
- A Warm-Up Workshop and a tour of Burgas Free University;
- Workshops
- A variety of social events, including lunch and trips – e.g. a cultural trip to the ancient town of Nessebar, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites;
The online part will take place in 2 online sessions before the physical mobility as follows:
- 1st online meeting – 07.05.2025 ( 17- 19 h)
- 2nd online meeting – 09.05.2025 – (17- 19 h )
The language of training is English. There is no registration fee. Participants are responsible for covering their own accommodation, living and travel costs. They are expected to get the Erasmus+ Mobility grant from their home Institution under the KA131 projects that you are running.
