Beena Ahmed Latheef
My name is Beena Ahmed Latheef, from Male’, Maldives. I am a student from Villa College, enrolled in Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) Programme. Erasmus Mundus–SmartLink Programme is completely a new programme to Maldives. It has given me the opportunity to experience a new academic environment, discover the intellectual, cultural and social life of another country.
Bulgaria is not a region where Maldivians pursue higher studies, so it’s a great advantage for me to impress future employers and also the distinct cultural identity of Bulgaria are the two main reasons why I chose Bulgaria. I was excited and scared to travel Bulgaria but all my fears melted away after arriving Burgas.
Bulgarian people, especially in Burgas, are really friendly and helpful. Bulgaria has lot to offer you, with a lot of interesting places to visit, culture, traditional cuisine and people. I’m glad that I chose Burgas Free University. Without a doubt, BFU is the right choice for me! Apart from its well-equipped facilities, the university provides a conducive and an amicable environment for studying. All the lecturers are highly qualified, experienced and always willing to lend a helping hand to their students. I strongly believe that the knowledge and experience that I gain from BFU will be the greatest asset to my life.
