BFU in the European Researchers’ Night with its new European University
On September 27, Burgas Free University will participate in the European Researchers’ Night for the first time in its new capacity as a European University – part of the Erasmus+ Alliance of 13 higher education institutions across the EU. The BFU Alliance is led by the University of Le Havre in Normandy (France) and will be funded until the end of 2028 under the operation "European Universities – Development of Deep Institutional Transnational Cooperation".
The topic of both the European University and the first conference within the current Researchers’ Night is on the Islands, Ports and Coastal Territories (EUNICoast). Participants with presentations from BFU will be Assoc. Prof. Plamen Angelov, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Todor Kostadinov, PhD, and the PhD student Kolyo Oreshkov with the topic "Citizen Science for the Marine Renewable Energy and the Use of Marine Drones", Assoc. Prof. Veselina Zhecheva, PhD with the topic "The System of Systems for Monitoring Economic Parameters referring the Black Sea" and Prof. Milen Baltov, PhD and Assoc. Prof. Atanas Luizov, PhD with "Dimensions of the Circular Economy for Some Sectors of the Blue Economy". The Rector of BFU Prof. Baltov will also moderate the entire panel on "Blue and Circular Economy".
