Seminar for PhD students and young scientists at BFU: Publications in WoS and Scopus

On 11.05.2026 at 13:00 in the hall KC2 of the Burgas Free University, a seminar on the topic "Stimulating publication activity in Scopus and Web of Science" will be held. The event is intended for doctoral students and young scientists from the professional fields in which training and scientific activity is implemented at BSU. A hybrid format is planned with the possibility of online inclusion of the target audience.

The topic of the seminar includes issues related to an introduction to scientometric indices and bibliographic databases Scopus and Web of Science, requirements for the structure of publications in refereed and indexed publications in these databases, and the use of artificial intelligence in scientific research. The lecturers are BFU professors with many years of practical experience in publishing in international publications indexed in world-renowned databases - Assoc. Prof. Dr. E. Nikolova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. P. Georgieva, Prof. Dr. M. Neycheva.

The seminar is organized by the Center for Economic and Management Sciences and the Center for Informatics and Technical Sciences and is held within the framework of project BG05SFPR001-3.004-0022-C01 "Danube and Black Sea in the focus of the EU strategic innovation agenda through project-based doctoral studies in the green and blue economy and industry 5.0 management" and project BG05SFPR001-3.004-0012 "Development of innovative methods, technologies and models in support of a data-driven economy".
