Programme Profile:
In the Master’s degree programme in Health Management students acquire specific knowledge and skills for development, selection and implementation of strategies in health administration and institutions, for effective management of administrative structures and activities, for taking timely and effective decisions and control of their performance.
Graduates of Master's degree in Health Management can work as:
- Managers on different managerial positions in the area of Healthcare and Health Management
- Experts in various institutions responsible for control and management of healthcare system and health services (Regional Health Insurance Funds, Regional Health Inspections, etc.)
- Experts and specialists in the area of healthcare at municipalities.
Requirements and Length of Study:
Graduates in professional fields 3.7. Administration and Management, 3.8. Economics, 3.2. Psychology, 3.4. Social Activites, 3.6. Legal Studies and professional fields 7. Healthcare and Sports study for two semesters (one year) and sit for State Exam. Graduates in other professional fields can enroll in the Programme after passing a foundation (preparatory) module of subjects.
For students, graduated from qualification course in Health Management at BFU according to Regulation №9/2000 of Ministry of Health the study continues for one semester (15 weeks), including the State exam. Graduates from qualification course in Health Management at other universities is organized on individual plan according to content of their qualification acquired.
Admission:
Admission in master degree program in Health Management is based on their bachelor or master degree diploma.
Tuition Fee:
1400 BGN per semester for one-year master degree study. The fee might be paid in two instalments 740 BGN each during each semester. Payment is made via bank transfer.
