Programme Profile:
The Master’s degree programme in International Business and Management (in English) tackles the contemporary labor market need of professionals and managers equipped with up-to-date knowledge and expertise in the field of international business. The program curriculum is developed in line with Bulgaria’s state regulations and similar academic programs in leading foreign universities.
Students get knowledge, skills and competencies in various aspects of international business – international finance, marketing, communications, management. With its clearly expressed multidisciplinary nature, the program provides training also in issues related to entrepreneurship, organizational psychology, global economy, and develops skills in business data modelling and analysis.
By English as a language of instruction, we appeal to graduates from Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs taught in English, to applicants proficient in English as well as to professionals pursuing an international career.

Graduates from the Master's degree program in International Business and Management (in English) have a wide range of opportunities to work as experts, specialist, or managers in multinational companies and banks, specialized foreign trade offices, export oriented enterprises, public institutions related to foreign economic activities, or as entrepreneurs. Students would develop specialized language skills, thus enhancing their employability in the global job market and improving the prospects for career development.
Requirements and Length of Study:
Graduates from academic fields in 3.1.Sociology, Anthropology and Cultural Sciences, 3.2.Psychology, 3.3. Political Sciences, 3.4. Social Sciences, 3.5. Public Communications and Information Sciences, 3.6. Law, 3.7. Administration and Management, 3.8. Economics, and 3.9. Tourism study for two semesters (one year) and write a Master’s thesis. Graduates from other academic fields are enrolled in the programme after passing a foundation (preparatory) module of subjects in the field of Economic and Management Sciences.
Student Mobility:
The European programme Erasmus+ provides opportunities for the students to receive a grant and study abroad at partner universities of BFU in Germany, Greece, Latvia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Turkey, etc.
Admission:
Admission is based on a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Diploma. Since the language of instruction is English, the applicants should present a certificate/document proving proficiency in English equivalent to B2-level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The student candidates who do not present such a document, should sit for an exam in English with an Exam Board in order to certify that they possess the language competencies necessary to follow an English-taught academic program. The results of the exam are considered "passed" with a grade no lower than Very Good (5.00) according to Bulgaria’s grading scale.
