BFU Among the Leaders in The Ranking for Pedagogy, and for Administration and Management

Burgas Free University stands at prestigious positions in the latest edition of the Rating System of Higher Education Institutions in Bulgaria (RSVURB). BFU ranks fourth in the professional field of "Pedagogy" and fifth among 25 higher education institutions in the professional field of "Administration and Management". These are respectively the second ("Pedagogy" with a total of 16,713 students) and the third ("Administration and Management" with 11,773 students), largest in terms of the number of active students in the country, professional fields, determining the performance of the regions and the local economy.

In the professional field of "Pedagogy" BFU are ranked only by Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", the Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" and the Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski". An important indicator of the academic potential of the field (and an indicator in the rating) is the score of 9.29 received in March 2026 by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency, which placed BFU in second place after Sofia University.

In the professional field of "Administration and Management" BFU is in the first quarter of the higher education institutions accredited in the field. This is indicative both of the successful modernisation of the programmes at the educational and qualification degree (EQD) of "Bachelor" – with the "Management of Business and International Economics" programme, and of the level of the Master's programs - attracting a very high share of foreign students. In this field, BFU ranks second after the Academy of the Ministry of Interior in terms of the indicator of realisation of graduates (the data are expressed in Figure 1)
