BFU and BULATSA - new horizons for future aviation experts

A key meeting was held today at Burgas Free University with representatives of the State Enterprise "Air Traffic Control" (BULATSA) - the Director of the Airport ATS Center - Burgas, Mr. Boyan Mutafchiev, and Mrs. Radina Gecheva, Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services.
During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was officially signed between BFU and BULATSA, which will provide new educational and career opportunities for students in the field of aviation and air traffic management.
One of the most interesting moments of the event was the discussion of the BULATSA team with the students of the university. Two key career opportunities were presented: the "Become an Air Traffic Controller" program – aimed at ambitious young people who want to train and develop in the field of air traffic management. The Internship Program for the Technical Department – was launched for the first time this year, providing valuable practical experience in aviation technology.
The meeting took place in a lively dialogue, with students asking key questions: What does a working day look like for an air traffic controller? What qualities are needed to cope with the tension in this profession? How long does the training last and what are its stages?
The students tested their knowledge in an interactive aviation quiz organized by BULATSA. The fastest and most accurate answers brought special prizes to the distinguished participants.
Some of the students accepted the invitation to visit the Airport ATS Center - Burgas on March 18, 2025, where they will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the profession of air traffic controllers and technical specialists. BFU continues to expand its partnerships with leading institutions, providing students with real opportunities for career development and professional realization.
