Burgas Free University, as a partner in the EUNICoast alliance, announces the opening of the joint Call for Applications for the 1st Student Festival “Waves of Change”, which will take place from 21 to 25 September 2026 at the University of Sassari (UNISS) in Sardinia, Italy. The festival represents a short-term blended mobility (online + on-site) and brings together 100 students from all partner universities for a week filled with hackathons, cultural events, trainings, and international exchange.

The programme includes four thematic hackathons dedicated to cultural heritage, sustainable marine ecosystems, multilingualism and intercultural dialogue, and digital technologies for coastal communities, with participants receiving 3 ECTS credits. Each partner university organizes its own local application procedure, and BFU encourages its students to participate actively and apply through the local Erasmus+ office.

The deadline for sending the lists of nominated students to UNISS is 7 July 2026, 15:00 CET. The festival aims to promote interdisciplinarity, multilingualism, and cooperation within EUNICoast, offering a unique opportunity for international learning, teamwork, and participation in innovative hackathons. Students can find detailed information and apply through their Erasmus+ office.
