Doctoral students from the Burgas Free University (BSU) received high praise for their expertise as lecturers during the Blue Economy Summer School, held from September 7 to 11, 2026, in Constanta, Romania. Assigned as project-based doctoral students and appointed at BSU under the project as an assistant lecturer and researcher respectively, Dayana Terziyska and Ruzhin Velkov were invited by the Municipality of Burgas to serve as lecturers for the "Blue Gates" project. The project is funded by the Black Sea Program, with the Municipality of Burgas serving as the Bulgarian partner alongside educational and specialized institutions from Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine.

Dayana Terziyska presented her work titled "Policies, Regulations, and Sustainable Businesses to Stimulate the Circular Economy – Opportunities for Innovative Development in Bulgaria." Ruzhin Velkov delivered a presentation on the concept of a digital twin of the ocean within the context of the Black Sea.

Local government authorities actively participated in the sessions in Constanta, highlighting the real needs and challenges facing regional development.
