As part of the ongoing cooperation between the Burgas Free University (BFU) and Sozopol Municipality, a meeting was held between fifth-year law students and Yanko Kostadinov, Secretary of Sozopol Municipality and a BFU alumnus.

The guest lecture was organized within the framework of the "Criminal Procedure Law" course, taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mila Ivanova, and focused on the practical aspects of crime investigation.

Special attention was paid to the specific nature of the work of customs investigators and the practical challenges in detecting and investigating crimes within their competence.

Yanko Kostadinov graduated with a degree in Law from Burgas Free University between 2009 and 2014. His career path includes working in the legal profession as an attorney and at the Customs Agency, and since 2020, he has held the position of Secretary of Sozopol Municipality.

The visit is yet another event in the collaboration between Burgas Free University and Sozopol Municipality, which brings together initiatives aimed at enhancing legal culture, preventing unlawful behavior, and establishing a direct link between legal education and practice.
