In the period 8–10 June, a working meeting under Work Package 5 (WP5) within the European University Alliance EUNICOAST is taking place in Hall KC2 at Burgas Free University.
The event brought together representatives of all European universities participating in the alliance, who are jointly working on the implementation of the activities set out in Work Package 5.
Among the participating universities are: Hochschule Stralsund (HOST), Germany; University of Dubrovnik (UNIDU), Croatia; University of Sassari (UNISS), Italy; University of the Azores (UAc), Portugal; Åland University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), Finland; Université des Antilles (UA), France; Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB), Spain; Université Le Havre Normandie (ULHN), France; and Burgas Free University (BFU), Bulgaria.
During the three-day meeting, participants discussed ongoing activities, achieved results, and upcoming initiatives related to the implementation of the work package. A key focus was placed on strengthening cooperation between partner institutions, exchanging good practices, organizing joint events, and increasing the impact of the alliance’s activities within the European educational space.
Particular interest was sparked by the meeting held on the second day of the programme between the WP5 participants and the guests of Erasmus Week, organized by Burgas Free University. Representatives of the universities had the opportunity to exchange contacts, ideas, and experience in the fields of internationalization, innovation, and the development of modern higher education.
The meeting created conditions for future joint initiatives and new partnerships, encouraging active dialogue between the academic community and international experts.
Hosting the event reaffirms the active role of Burgas Free University in the development of the EUNICOAST alliance and the university’s commitment to strengthening European cooperation, academic mobility, and the creation of a more connected and sustainable European Higher Education Area.
