Within the framework of successful cooperation with the European University Alliance EUNICoast , a new joint initiative has been launched, aiming to expand opportunities for professional contacts and partnership networks between researchers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and regional stakeholders. The project provides a dynamic platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing best practices, and identifying new strategic horizons for cooperation under the Horizon Europe programme and other European Union funds. As part of the campaign, the alliance's five specialized teaching and research centres are organizing a series of online seminars where leading international speakers present their research areas, current projects, and specific proposals for joint work. Each presentation is followed by an open discussion to stimulate long-term synergies across the EUNICoast t network. The thematic scope is closely linked to the specifics of the alliance and covers critical areas for the development of islands, ports, and coastal territories, with the programme launching with a focus on preserving cultural identity, local knowledge, and heritage in coastal communities, and the next event on the topic scheduled for October 8, 2026. The economic aspect is covered through the blue circular economy, port logistics, and sustainable blue tourism, the continuation of which will take place on December 11, 2026, while issues of management, planning, and monitoring of coastal resources will be discussed on February 4, 2027, and biodiversity conservation, healthcare, and nature-based solutions are programmed for April 13, 2027. The technological and engineering side of the initiative, including data-driven solutions for coastal infrastructure, renewable marine energy, and navigation systems, will be presented on September 8, 2026, and June 9, 2027. Participation in the webinars is completely free of charge and offers an opportunity to explore new partnerships, generate innovative ideas, and strengthen the European research network, with the events open to the consortium's academic community and regional innovation ecosystems, and the only requirement being prior online registration via the official form.
