Future forensic experts from BSU visited the Burgas District Court

Students from the programmes Law and Forensic Engineering and Technical Safety at the Centers for Legal Studies and for Engineering and Technical Sciences at Burgas Free University, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vanya Stamatova, visited the Burgas District Court.

The future forensic experts met with Judge Evgeni Uzunov, President of the District Court – Burgas, and Judge Filip Radinov, who delivered short lectures on the role and importance of experts within the judicial system. The latest amendments to the legislation concerning expert witnesses were also discussed.

The students expressed their satisfaction with the theoretical training they receive at Burgas Free University and showed interest in gaining practical experience through collaboration with recommended experienced experts in various fields.

Opportunities for professional realization of young experts within the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Justice were also discussed. The conditions for registering new experts in the lists of forensic experts — by classes and types of expertise — at the district courts were presented as well.
