Green and Blue Economy Project between BFU and SA "D.A.Tsenov" Svishtov

The conference took place at the Svishtov Higher School, attended by the Rector of the Academy Assoc. Dr. Marin Marinov, the Rector of BFU Prof. Dr. Milen Baltov, Prof. Dr. Maria Neycheva, Dean of the Center for Economic and Management Sciences at BFU and lecturers. The project is implemented under the procedure "Support for the development of project doctoral studies" under the Education Program 2021-2027. The beneficiary is the "Dimitar A. Tsenov" Academy of Arts, and the project partner is BFU. The focus is on innovation and sustainable development in two critical areas – the green economy, which encompasses the sustainable use of natural resources, and the blue economy, which is related to marine and water resources. In addition, the project includes the management of Industry 5.0, which aims to integrate people and machines to achieve better results.

During the meeting, the Rector of Burgas Free University, Prof. Dr. Milen Baltov noted that during the implementation of the Education Program 2021-2027, a company is not expected, and the funds for the doctoral student are worked out through the contract, that is, the companies will not have the direct cost of the labor resource. The Rector of the Academy of Economics "Dimitar A. Tsenov" Assoc. Dr. Marin Marinov thanked all 18 associated project partners for their readiness to interact with universities. The project expands the opportunities for improving the qualification of the academic staff of both universities and the participation of lecturers and PhD students in various scientific forums, he added.

This project will enable PhD students to research and develop new solutions and technologies that can support sustainable development and address environmental and economic challenges.
