International conference brought together over 150 young researchers at BFU

On April 16, the XXVII edition of the conference "Student Scientific Creativity" was held in Hall 110 of the Burgas Free University - an established academic forum, which this year officially acquires the status of an international conference. The event coincides with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the university's establishment and has become a significant highlight in its academic calendar.

The conference was opened with opening remarks by the Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Maria Aleksieva, who emphasized the importance of scientific research as a driver of personal and social development.

The conference was officially opened by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Milen Baltov, who in his speech emphasized the increasing international nature of the forum and emphasized that the number of foreign students this year exceeds one third of all participants. He highlighted the importance of such scientific formats as a space for young people to express themselves, in which they can present their ideas, develop their research potential and actively participate in the academic dialogue. The participants are from a total of 10 countries, with India and Cameroon standing out among the most distant, and the remaining representatives are from Poland, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Latvia, Moldova, Ukraine, the Netherlands, which further confirms the international aspect and academic significance of the event.

Among the official guests of the event were Prof. Dr. Tatyana Kotseva - Deputy Regional Governor of Burgas Region, Mr. Mihail Nenov - Deputy Mayor of Burgas Municipality, Ms. Valentina Kamalieva - Head of the RDO - Burgas, as well as representatives of the National Publishing House for Education and Science "Az-buki" - Mr. Emil Spahiyski and Mr. Ventsislav Genkov. In their speeches, they emphasized the role of partnership between educational institutions, local authorities and the scientific community for the development of innovations and sustainable public practices.

The conference was attended by over 150 participants – students, pupils and doctoral candidates, who presented their scientific works within the framework of four main sections: “Doctoral Students”, “Law, Pedagogy and Psychology”, “Economics and Management” and “Informatics and Technical Sciences”. The forum created a favorable environment for the exchange of ideas, scientific dialogue and the establishment of academic contacts both at the national and international levels.

A total of 42 reports were presented in the “Informatics and Technical Sciences” section – 20 by students and 22 by pupils from various educational institutions, including the “N. Y. Vaptsarov” Naval Academy, BFU, PPMG, PGKPI and PGEE. The special award was awarded to Kiril Kisyov (PGEE “K. Fotinov”), and first place was taken by Kaloyan Dinev (BFU), followed by Diyan Mihaylov (BFU) and Irena Stoycheva (BFU).

In the category "Doctoral students" 35 reports were submitted, of which 25 were implemented. A special award was awarded to Ivet Dakova (BFU), first place went to Nikolay Zabov (BFU), second place – Deyan Sofiykov (BFU), and third place – Dimitar Tsvetkov (SU "St. Kliment Ohridski"). Certificates of encouragement were awarded to Dobrinka Kirova (BFU) and Evgeni Stanchev (MU - Varna).

The section "Law, Pedagogy and Psychology" included 41 reports presented by students, pupils and foreign participants. The special award was awarded to Radostina Dimova and Pelagia Lazarova (BFU), first place went to Kristiyan Monev (BFU), second place – Andrada, Bianca, Alexandru, and third place – Kadir Ibryam (BFU). The Student Council award was presented to Mariela Stoyanova (BFU).

In the section "Finance and Accounting, Marketing and Management, International Economic Relations, Administration and Governance, Circular Economy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship" 32 reports were presented by students, pupils and foreign participants. The Special Prize was awarded to Danila Kuchin (BFU), first place was taken by Taniel Nigohosyan (BFU), second - Mirela Takeva (BFU), and third - Martina Struharova (Ss Cyril and Methodius University, Trnava, Slovakia). The Student Council Award was presented to Juliana Dimitrova (BFU).

The conference "Student Scientific Creativity" once again confirmed its role as a significant platform for promoting scientific activity among young people. By acquiring international status and expanding participation, the forum lays the foundation for future development, scientific cooperation and the affirmation of academic values ​​in a dynamic and global environment.
