Pre-start start for the World Money Week at BFU

Burgas Free University organized an anticipatory event on March 11, which marked the beginning of 2025 in Bulgaria for the Global Money Week 2025. Excitingly, and already with the partnership of the Academy of DSK Bank, the lecturers and student-mentors from BFU gathered 19 teams from eight high schools in Burgas - PGSAG "Kolyo Ficheto PGT "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov", "G. S. Rakovski" High School of Economics, High School of Commerce, "Konstantin Fotinov" PGEE, PGMEE - Burgas, PPMG "Acad. Nikola Obreshkov" AEG – "Geo Milev". The students demonstrated their ideas and skills in the field of entrepreneurship and impressed with their energy and creativity!
The participants faced the challenge of developing thematic videos dedicated to different types of currencies, the use of financial instruments, remarkable bank fraud and savings skills, and also solved a financial quiz. They presented innovative business ideas to respond to current problems and needs of society - green solutions and circular economy, social entrepreneurship and digital banking - inspiring examples of how young people see the future.
Heartfelt thanks to the competent and inspiring jury that brought professionalism and experience to the competition: Assoc. Dr. Galina Stoyanova and the representatives of our partner in this initiative - DSK Bank, Mariana Karayotova (manager of the Bratya Miladinovi branch) and Radina Karastoyanova (individual banking consultant). Amazing mentors and presenters have made a great contribution to the success of this event! The students Valeria Pramatarova and Nia Obretenova from the "G. S. Rakovski" High School masterfully led the game elements in the event. Special thanks to Assoc. Dr. Vilyana Ruseva for the inexhaustible energy and dedication she puts into every step of the preparation and organization of this event. Thanks to her contribution, the initiative has established itself as a tradition and an important part of the activities of the Center for Economic and Management Sciences at BFU. Ass. Dr. Vilyana Ruseva also accepted the warm thanks from the teachers of the high school for the organization and the long preparation of the activities before the event itself.
