Students from BSU visited the Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry
As part of the practical training programme, fourth‑year students visited the Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry – the largest employers’ organization in the region. Burgas Free University continues its active efforts to strengthen the connection between academia and the business community. During the visit, the students met with the Chairman of the Chamber, Todor Demirkov, and the Executive Director, Boryana Zheleva, who presented the main areas of activity of the institution: protecting the interests of its members, assisting in resolving legal cases, including those involving international partners, supporting the establishment of business contacts, as well as participating in national and international projects. The visit provided students with the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the real business environment in the region and to understand how organizations like the Chamber contribute to the development of the local economy and entrepreneurship. The initiative is part of a series of practical meetings held in May 2026, aimed at broadening the students’ professional perspective and preparing them for future careers in business, entrepreneurship and economic development.
