The XVI Conference "Student Scientific Creativity" was held at BFU with international participation

This year's conference sets a record for participants from different countries – 19 countries from four continents, with over 130 young researchers, PhD students, students and pupils presenting their scientific developments in a wide range of fields. The group of PhD students from Bulgaria is joined by their colleagues from Serbia and Spain, and among the students, the teams include representatives of Ireland, Poland, the People's Republic of China, Romania, South Africa, Ukraine, Moldova, India, Lithuania, Croatia, the Palestinian Authority, Brazil, Tanzania, Turkey, Serbia, Latvia and Slovakia.
At the opening of the forum, the Vice-Rector of BFU, Prof. Dr. Maria Alexieva emphasized key goals of the conference – to provide new opportunities for young people to express their ideas, exchange scientific achievements and be inspired by cooperation with colleagues and teachers from different parts of the world. "As spring awakens nature, so you, young scientists, with courage and audacity express your ideas and overturn established ideas," she said, emphasizing the role of young participants in creating new scientific paradigms and solutions.
More than 130 scientific papers will be presented during the conference, covering topics from engineering sciences and information technologies to economics, law, pedagogy, psychology and social sciences. Guest of the event is Mr. Mihail Nenov, Deputy Mayor for Education, Health, Social Affairs and Youth Policies of the Municipality of Burgas. In his greeting to the participants, he emphasized the importance of cooperation between educational institutions, local authorities and businesses to create innovations and scientific achievements, as well as the commitment of the Municipality of Burgas to support such initiatives through the Municipal Science Fund.
Prof. Dr. Milen Baltov, Rector of Burgas Free University, noted in his congratulatory words to the participants that the conference "Student Scientific Creativity" is a key platform for the expression of young talents, because it provides an opportunity for the presentation of scientific developments, but it is also a place for interaction and exchange of ideas between students, lecturers and international guests.
At the end of the day, a solemn ceremony was held to award the best participants, who were awarded for their scientific achievements with plaques, diplomas and prizes. These young talents, thanks to their scientific creativity and efforts, continue to lay the foundations for the future of science and technology. The conference "Student Scientific Creativity" continues to be a major driver of innovation at Burgas Free University and has an important role in the development of research and higher education in Bulgaria.
