Black Sea Multidisciplinary Innovation Laboratory towards Social Changes – BS MILab

The world around us is becoming more and more complex, accompanied by dynamic changes and speed in decision-making.

Traditional approaches to formulating and solving social, educational and economic problems bring less and less returns.

The main discussion issues are related to how best to educate and prepare young people for the new challenges of the 21st century – critical thinking, entrepreneurial competencies, creativity, knowledge exchange, promotion of innovation.

For this purpose, knowledge networks are created between higher education institutions, public institutions and enterprises, which aim at cooperation and exchange of good practices.

The development of key competences requires multidisciplinary teaching and learning. The challenge is to determine what we should teach in the future and how we should organize the learning and learning processes.

For this purpose, we are creating a Black Sea Multidisciplinary Innovation Laboratory towards Social Change – BS MILab at BFU)

Our goal is to demonstrate that by accepting the challenge of applying multidisciplinary innovations (MDIs) and methods, we can respond to social problems with an approach that supports positive social change in the educational model and the development of professionally prepared professionals for the labor market.

The main goal of BS MILab is to become part of the overall process of forming educational strategies and policies in the field of innovation, economics, technology and entrepreneurship through effective projects and solutions that it creates.

Another of the main goals of BS MILab is to ensure the transfer and exchange of knowledge and good practices between national and international scientific organizations, technology centers and similar laboratories, as well as to find the right tool for their application in our country.

In it, students, PhD students, lecturers and practitioners in various scientific fields will have the opportunity to develop their ideas and projects on significant social and economic topics and share them.

The LABORATORY will support the preparation of students in the field of economics, technology and entrepreneurship for successful realization on the labor market by integrating joint educational programs with other universities and using the expert knowledge of specialists from practice.

The main areas in which established lecturers from BFU and business experts are already working are "Circular Economy", "Security of Strategic Infrastructures and Production", "Aviation Management", "Maritime Law and Coastal Territories", "Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Primary and Preschool Education" And "Electronisation and Communication of Renewable Energy Sources".

Professional discussions and scientific forums will be organized periodically with representatives of institutions and businesses on current topics and problems in the field of these areas.
