Technical Requirements
Technical requirements for the layout of a report and/or scientific communication intended for the publications of Burgas Free University.
1. Reports or scientific communications and their summaries in English must be sent to the electronic mail addresses for submitting materials intended for the publications of Burgas Free University, as follows:
- Journal of Legal Studies: lawjurnal@bfu.bg
- Burgas Free University Annual Proceedings: godishnik@bfu.bg
- Student Research Conference Proceedings: snt@bfu.bg
- Conference Proceedings: conf@bfu.bg
2. The full text of the reports or scientific communications should not exceed 3,000 words (maximum 8 pages), including figures and tables. Page format A4 with the following margins: for the first page: top – 65 mm, bottom – 40 mm, left – 45 mm, right – 30 mm; for the remaining pages: top – 50 mm, bottom – 40 mm, left – 45 mm, right – 30 mm.
3. The material should be prepared using Microsoft Word. For the main text, the font should be used: Times New Roman, size: 10 pt, format: Normal and single line spacing.
4. The layout of the home page should contain the following elements: title, printed in capital letters with bold font, size 12 pt and located 65 mm from the top edge of the page, centered; the scientific title and degree, the name of the author(s) and the institution in one blank line below the title, size 10 pt, bold. The title, the name of the author(s), the annotation and the keywords in English should be placed as follows: the title in one blank line in bold, capital letters, size 12 pt, centered; the name of the author(s) - in one blank line below the title, size 10 pt, bold, centered; the annotation (abstract) in italic font in a volume of up to five typewritten lines in one blank line below the author's name - Size 10, bold; the keywords (keywords) in italic font in one blank line below the annotation, size 10 pt, bold.
5. The text of the report or scientific communication begins in two blank lines. Figures and tables are mounted in the text. All paragraphs of the main text should be aligned on both sides with an indent of the first line of 12 mm.
6. The literature cited in the text is indicated by a number enclosed in square brackets [ ], and the formula numbers - by a number located to the left of them, in small brackets ( ).
7. The literature listed at the end of the material is written according to the standard of bibliographic description in accordance with BDS ISO 690:2021 (Harvard system), two blank lines after the text of the report.
8. The text of the report or scientific communication should end on a full page.
