Programme Profile:
In the Bachelor’s degree programme in Finance the educational process is organized in modules. The first module consists of courses which provide fundamental knowledge and a wide range seminar classes in economics and management. The second module comprises special knowledge in the field of public and corporative finance, tax system, budget and customs policy, debts and budget problems, banking, insurance and social insurance, financial markets, stock markets and stock market indicators, international currency transactions and operations. The third module includes optional taught courses which give the students the opportunity to build up additional competences in compliance with their interests and professional applicability.

 

Practical Training and Internship:
Students have specialized practice as an element of the curriculum as well as the opportunity for practical training abroad within the Erasmus+ programme.

 

Student Mobility:
The European programme Erasmus+ provides opportunities to the students to receive a grant and study abroad at the partner universities of BFU in the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Turkey. Students from the Faculty of Business Studies participate in various international projects, programmes and research.

 

Career Opportunities:
The graduates in Finance acquire the professional qualification ‘Economist’ and are employable in banks, customs and tax administration, in investment funds, financial brokers, insurance companies, in private business, financial-accounting departments of companies and corporations, in the district and municipality administration, controlling agencies, pension and health-insurance funds.
