SCHOLARSHIPS

The scholarships awarded to the students of Burgas Free University are provided under various programmes and sources of funding. Until 2018 Academic Merit Scholarships and Special Achievements Scholarships were awarded to students within the project BG05M2OP001-2.003-0001 "Student Scholarships - Phase 1", financed through the Operational Program "Science and education for smart growth" 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund. The project was successfully completed in 2017.

"Successful Students" Scholarships Awarded by Burgas Municipality

The scholarships are provided under the programme "Successful Students" of Burgas Municipality. All full-time students in their first, second or third year of studies, enrolled in a higher education institution in Burgas, in a Bachelor’s degree course or in a course for which training is provided only towards a Master’s degree, can apply. The scholarships awarded under the measure “Successful Students” each semester amount to 150-200 BGN (Bulgarian leva) per month. The application requirements and deadlines are set by Burgas Municipality and announced on the website of Burgas Municipality.

Student Internships - Phase 2 – Ministry of Education and Science

The students also have the opportunity to receive a scholarship for their participation in internships under the project BG05M2OP001-2.013-0001 “Student Internships - Phase 2”, implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science, financed by the European Union through the European Structural and Investment Funds. All students enrolled in studies leading to a recognised degree or tertiary-level qualification can apply.;
